We have made many friends since 1970. Many began with an intuitive report from the School of Metaphysics. To date we have provided over 100,000 reports for people on six continents. The 1993 Parliament of the World’s religions gave us the opportunity to meet new friends face to face and from this experience SOMA was born. In 1999, we were able to visit some of these friends in their homelands as we led the first People to People delegation of metaphysicians to India, then two months later members traveled to South Africa for the Parliament of the World’s Religions. Dr. Sheila Benjamin brought the Universal Peace Covenant to both places.
Media from Radio Tokyo to the Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC) to the BBC in London and CNN in Atlanta has helped introduce us to many new friends. With almost 1,000,000 books distributed worldwide many have read our research and teachings. Like a tree, the friendships blossoming create a constantly growing connection of friends we call SOMA, School of Metaphysics Associates.
SOMA members share our ideals and believe in our work. They are people who want to know and are ready to develop more of their potential. Sometimes we see them several times a year, others once a decade. Friendship traverses time and space for it comes from the heart.
To be a SOMA member is to experience the privilege of common ideal, the security of similar purpose. Since 1995, SOMA members have joined in the Universal Hour of Peace. Through uniting our efforts in peace, we affect the attitude of our planet. When we can produce peace for one hour, we can extend this to two, then three, until all of humanity awakens to the truth “living peaceably begins by thinking peacefully.”
