Sri Chinmoy Peace Blossom Program

A FAMILY of YOUNG SOULS, more than a soul with a body

Sri Chinmoy
Peace Blossom Program

Sri Chinmoy is a spiritual leader whose peace activities are known throughout the world. The man who brought meditation to the United Nations, Sri Chinmoy is also a poet, author, artist and musician. He performs peace concerts worldwide and even lifts weights to show the incredible power of the mind. At 67 years old, he lifted a 15 ton aircraft jet to “inspire people. Inspiration is joy and in joy only abides peace.”

Recently, the College of Metaphysics became one of hundreds of Peace Blossoms around the world. A Sri Chinmoy Peace Blossom is a place dedicated to the cause of Peace and International Friendship.

The College of Metaphysics joins over nine hundred towns, cities, countries, natural wonders, historic sites and educational institutions participating in the Peace Blossom program. A commemorative plaque proclaiming that the College of Metaphysics is dedicated to peace was presented during the September Peacemakers. The Sri Chinmoy Peace Blossom coordinator states, “The goal of the program is to the raise the consciousness of the need of world peace, as only when we are aware of this need can we act upon it in a positive and constructive way…. Many students, faculty, and staff will receive abundant inspiration upon seeing that your institution, along with hundreds of sites worldwide, is dedicated to world peace.”

In the words of Sri Chinmoy, “There shall come a time when this world of ours will be flooded with peace. Who is going to bring about this radical change? It will be you, you and your brothers and sisters. You and your oneness-heart will spread peace throughout the length and breadth of the world.”
