COLLEGE OF METAPHYSICS, future plans
Ahhh! To be out there, in creation, and be thrust in this little body;
the Universe outside and within, and it is all my Self!!
I stand on the edge of a precipice,
and though the winds of time blow through me,
and my spaces chill, I am whole.
Hope keeps me here, clinging to the mountains rock face
with my head turned upward as I strive for the next handhold, the next footstep.......
All is forgiven, says the north wind as my clothes leave --
blown towards the south for a good spring cleaning.
All you need is me, says the inner breath.

A Unified Education Theory
Dr. Barbara Condron
When the School of Metaphysics was incorporated in 1973, the dream had yet to be conceived. Yet within the first ten years, the vision grew in the minds of many.
The vision is a place on Earth, open to anyone, where academic learning melds with spiritual disciplines, where arts and sciences are taught together, not as separate often clashing factions. Where understanding form opens the mind to artistic mathematics and imaginative science. Where learning transcends physical limits - no longer a slave to unknown inspiration, artists learn to create at will. No longer a slave to what is defined by the five physical senses, scientists learn to directly perceive truth with the sixth sense.
A conservative liberal arts and sciences university whose curriculum is dedicated to accelerating the evolution of mankind. Where the concept and workings of Karma become the backbone of studies in law. Where the spiritual law that governs every physical law is taught.
A place of learning where faculty practice and teach principles that govern reasoning, intuition, and enlightenment. Where anthropology teachers and students research the Akashic Record for Atlantean history. Where those desiring to serve as health practitioners are taught to be healers first. Where journalists are taught how to create the objective mind, counselors are taught the Universal Language of Mind, athletes are taught to master life force.
A college of the future. A place of learning for Spiritual Man.
Since its inception, we have envisioned the campus in southern Missouri, where the School of Metaphysics started. In the country away from already established metro areas, land is plentiful for growth and expansion. It is also virgin, and so we can cooperate with nature in our design and building. We have always known the campus will center around a large pyramid, a scale version of the Great Pyramid of Giza, whose form naturally collects and disseminates energies that we will then receive and channel for productive uses. Around the pyramid will be geodesic domes in clusters of three that will house students and their teacher. This has been the dream from the beginning. It is the dream today.
In 1982, the first manifestation of the dream reached the physical with the purchase of over 700 acres of paradise in southwest Missouri just north of Branson. Rolling hills, mountain cliffs, riverbanks, wooded areas, natural springs, here you are in the presence of nature, creation and its Creator. We awaken to the bright chirps of cardinals and go to sleep to the tree frogs lullaby. Deer and wild turkey have their times and seasons for daily treks across the campus. And for every tree cut and put to use, at least 10 new ones are planted. We share the land with life forms native to this area. It is a community in the fullest sense of the word. Meditations are rich here. The original building constructed to house the pioneering faculty and students is still used as our main building. Here nature meets high tech - milk gleaned by hand from cows named Elsie, Jumper and Daisy is tranformed into gouda, colby and blue cheese, the countryside is captured on film then scanned for publication or to put on the Internet, inquiries by phone, fax, and mail are received and requests for services are answered daily. The multi-faceted activities of an embryonic college and a constantly expanding headquarters transpire in the now two-building complex which houses students and some faculty and staff as well. It is amazing how much occurs in this building.
Two smaller tracts of land have been added since 1982. We reserve them for our guests, who most of the time have traveled some distance to visit us. This has enabled us to host new friends from across the United States and from England, Venezuela, and Australia. You may have stayed at our bed and breakfast at Dream Valley or attended Spiritual Initiation Sessions at the Moon Valley Ranch. To establish and nurture a particular vibratory pattern, the Ranch is devoted entirely to the sessions and similar ceremonies and activities. Dream Valley has a unique vibration of peace in the midst of prolific growth. It is the site of many family activities including our annual College Preparatory Camp. These areas have added greatly to our world headquarters, and have set into motion the next part of the vision, a part which will in reality be the first official building on the college campus. Something we call Project Octagon.
Since the early days of the School of Metaphyiscs, the estimated number of students needed to begin building the great pyramid which will be the focal point of our campus is 100. The acquisition of the valley properties has allowed us to move toward this, but these buildings alone will not supply housing for 100. Thus envisioning a multi-purpose center that will enable us to increase staff at the School of Metaphysics Headquarters and enrollment in the College of Metaphysics work/study program became the next evolutionary step toward our dream.
Designed in 1992, the proposed four-story, octagonal design includes an auditorium, classroom/meeting rooms, library and study areas, a cafeteria, and potential living quarters for up to 100 people. This is in alignment with our goal of having 100 people in residence as the necessary step to beginning construction on the great pyramid which will be the heart and focal point of our campus. Envision this....
Nestled in the beautiful countryside, residing on one of the many pinnacles of the lands natural terrain, a white octagon with copper roofing glistens in the sun. As you draw closer, your senses are filled with the brilliant hues of nature. Flowers and greenery line the stone walkways leading to the entrance. Their aroma drifts through the fresh air, and the sounds of birds and wildlife mingle with the cascade of waterfalls. Your spirit is uplifted as you enter the wooden hand-carved doors.
Entering the vestibule of the first floor, you know you have entered into a sacred, holy place. Your feet glide on wooden floors. You breathe fresh air provided constantly by the green plants throughout the foyer. Sunlight illuminates the area. Your eyes are captured by a fiber arts mural almost two stories tall. In front of this, a suspended globe pours its water into a pool below. This is a place of peace and calmness. The greeting area reflects all facets of the School of Metaphysics for it will welcome people from all over the world.
The Octagon will allow us many opportunities to serve. It will be the site of spiritually endowed meetings great and small, public and private. It will give us needed office space and provide additional living quarters. Areas on each side of the greeting area will be reserved for intimate discussion or private meditations. As you move further into the building, you will find a spacious room, 40 feet by 170 feet which can be partitioned into three different areas. When divided, this space will afford places for lectures, workshops, intuitive reporting sessions, and classes. With kitchen facilities off the center, the room can easily serve a hundred or be transformed into a huge dining hall which will serve several hundred at a time. Toward the back of this floor several large, uniquely shaped rooms will serve as offices or meeting rooms for smaller groups. Restrooms and needed storage space complete the first floor.
The interior design will be harmonious to the natural setting. Wood and stone will be used generously, and the many windows will allow outdoor lighting into the building. Mosaic tile flooring of intricate design and plush carpets will fill the rooms. Tapestries and wall hangings will delight the eye. Indoor plants will seemingly grow from the walls and ceilings. This will be a place people will want to visit again and again. It will be a place where many will want to live and learn. It will be a place we can all be proud to call the World Headquarters of the School of Metaphysics.
The proposed second floor can comfortably house 52 people in individual rooms or dormitory-style rooms. Whether serving students attending the College of Metaphysics or guests who are attending seminars for a weekend, the second floor offers ample room for projects envisioned in the near future. The rooms can be utilized initially a variety of ways including a computer and intuitive research center, then converted into living space as the need arises.
From the time we move in, the library and study will house thousands of volumes, consistently increasing its resource as a collection of rare titles. It will include a collection of transcripts from the thousands of intuitive reports (readings) given through the School of Metaphysics over the past quarter century thus becoming the worlds largest library of information gained from a controlled use of the inner levels of consciousness.
Located opposite the library will be the student lounge. This room will offer a place for informal gathering and entertainment. An outdoor terrace stretching 15 by 40 feet across the back (west) of the building will become another popular area, giving a panoramic view of the countryside.
In the center of the second floor will be what illustrator Kipp Jones calls the Great Room. A common meeting place enclosed on the corners by glass panels, this 28 by 50 foot area will see many uses in the years to come. From conversation to study, great minds will come here to contemplate and create. The spiral staircases seen on the first floor will continue from this floor into the third story.
Now we enter the sacred chamber. The spiral staircases which began on the first floor will ultimately lead to this magnificent room. The interior will be completely finished in white and ivory. Stretching 95 feet by 83 feet, the room will at once consume and liberate the spirit. Here, you will be in the presence of God.
Windows on all eight sides will illuminate the room reflecting off the walls, ceiling and floor. Intricate stained glass in the uppermost panels of each window will give a prism effect filling the room with the colors of the rainbow. The ceiling will rise from third floor level to a single point some twenty feet in the exact center of the room.
Here, many can join in joyous celebration of a new day. Here, hundreds can gather for musical presentations or to receive the Truth perceived by the worlds spiritual teachers. Here, one can meditate and commune with the Creator in solitude. The very quality of the room, its emanating vibration, will beckon you to reach out and touch the face of God and the soul of all humanity.
Now is the time to manifest the next step of the dream.
